NOTD: Sinful Colours Slate

So, when i first picked this colour out of my nail draw, i honestly thought it was an ugly colour, but after applying it, i actually really really like it, its a gorgeous slate gray colour with tiny silver shimmers running through it, this applied very smooth and evenly, and gave full coverage with 2 coats applied.

I will definitely be reaching for this shade again!!

A little halloween post.......

So I'm pretty excited that Halloween is nearly upon us, I really enjoy dressing up for Halloween and choosing outfits for my kids!!

Me and my son decided to do a trial run of what he wants to be, and we both love the way it came out!! What do you think?

Obviously this was just a quick attempt, I have since ordered some snazaroo professional face paints which I'm sure will give a better look.

Younique Moodstruck Minerals Pigments - Swatches

If you have watched the video on my last post then you will know that i got some sample pigments to try out, i didn't swatch in the video as i though it would get very messy, so here they are on the blog instead!

First of all, i love the packaging of these samples, super neat and cute!!

They come with a little sticker on the back with the shade name on.

Finally the actual swatches, the left side is applied dry and the right side is applied wet, you can see that the colours really pop when applied wet, but that is the case with all pigments.

NYX Butter Glosses

These are my favourite glosses at the moment so had to do a quick post about them!

I only have 5 at the moment which i received in my beauty swap which i did with the lovely Janice, you can view it HERE

The shades i have from left to right are as follows:

My faves are Maple Blondie and Creme Brulee.

They all smell absolutely amazing, and they literally glide onto the lips, they aren't sticky in the slightest and give great colour payoff, i will definitely be adding to my collection!!

Worlds Most Powerful Facial

I have to share this post on the 'Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay'

This claims to be the 'Worlds most powerful Facial', and 'makes your face pulsate'

I have used this a few times now, and i actually LOVE it!! It comes in a large 1lb tub and its pure powder, what you do is mix it with water or Apple Cider Vinegar to form a paste and then you apply it over the entire face, avoiding the delicate eye area.

I used mine with water and applied it about 1/4 inch in thickness all over my face and left it on for about 15mins, at first i thought, its just a normal clay mask, and didn't feel anything on my skin, but after about 10mins or so, my face started really pulsating, just like it claims on the tub, its a weired sensation, and i dare say even slightly painful, but i just loved the fact that i could actually feel it doing something to my skin. After i removed the mask, my skin was red, like really really red, my boyfriend even said to me, 'woah, what the hell have you done' ha ha. Ill admit it was a huge shock to see the redness, but it honestly disappeared after about 30mins, and i swear my skin has never ever felt so soft and smooth before, this is one hell of a deep cleansing mask and i absolutely swear by it, it helps with pimples, blackheads and any impurities you have.

I use this mask once a week now, for a full deep cleanse, and i know it will be a staple in my routine now.

 i still need to try it with the vinegar to see if there is any difference, but right now i am more than happy with the water mixture.

NOTD - Essie Bikini So Teeny

This is my most recent Mani, a shade that i have had in my collection for quite a while now but don't think i have ever shared it.

This polish is a gorgeous soft, pale blue colour with super fine silver shimmers, it applies very evenly and has lasted me 5 days so far and thats without a base and top coat, naughty i know!!

My absolute love for the Models Own Polish for Tans collection still stands strong, i think i have wore the colours from this collection more than any other lately! They are THE perfect shades for summer, this is the shade

Lime Crime at last!!

I have wanted to try Lime Crime Lipsticks  for as long as I can remember, so when I saw these in a blog sale recently I had to nab them!!

The packaging is gorgeous and the holographic unicorn sits perfectly against the purple shade, there pretty much the same shape as my beloved MAC Lipsticks, just a little fatter and more rounded on the top! 

(10 out of 10 for packaging from me!!)

The shades I picked up are Centrifuschia  and Countessa Fluorescent. 

I'll admit these are not the first choice of shades I would choose but they were such a good price I thought I would take a chance just to try, and honestly, I'm not disappointed! The pigmentation is amazing and they are super creamy and moisturizing!!

I can't wait to try more shades, next on my hit list are Babette, Coquette and Geradium!! 

GlossyBox UK - July 2014

So the theme of this months box was 'Stars and Stripes' and it came in special edition American Flag style packaging, complete with red and navy packaging inside, very apt for the theme.

I got some great things in this months box four of which were full size items and I'm very happy with it.

Im still over the moon that i got a Tarte Mascara in my box, and cant wait to gIve it a go as ive heard rave reviews about it!!

I know for definite that i will use the Carmex, Mascara and the Eyeshadow Primer, I may be brave enough and actually try out the lipstick for a night out or something as its not my usual colour, (still cant quite believe this lippie is worth £20, the packaging feels kinda cheap for that price point) and I'm sure i will use the polish at some point, (maybe winter time) oh, does anyone know if this is color club's new packaging?? hate to say it but I'm not a fan.

The value of this box comes to roughly about £29 and that's without the Tarte Mascara factored into it as i have no idea what size it is, so your still getting a pretty good deal with this box for your monthly subscription fee.

July BirchBox

This is the July Birch Box and was actually a freebie this month, i signed up in June and received the June box, but i was so disappointed in what i received that i felt i had to email them, and express my feelings.

I did receive a reply from a member of the birch box team, but honestly the reply wasn't what i was expecting, so i immediately cancelled my subscription.

I went to check my on line banking a few days later and realised that they had taken another payment out for the July Box, i was confused as i had already cancelled, so yet again i emailed them.

I received a reply basically saying sorry, the payment has already been processed and they couldn't stop it from going through and that my July box will be on its way, anyway after a couple more emails back and forth i was told i would receive a refund and could have the July box as a gesture of good will.

That i was thankful for, and i can honestly say that this months box is 100x better than the June box.

I'm really happy with the products this month which include:

Clinique Freebies - Glamour Magazine

Just a quick heads up that this months glamour magazine is out now and comes with mini Clinique freebies!!

I could only manage to find the moisturiser and mascara, I have never seen the chubby sticks anywhere near me unfortunately.

Although these are minis, there still a great size, the moisturiser is a good 15ml.

I will be trying them both out and if I like them I'm heading back out to clear my stores magazine shelves ha ha!! 

Primark Beauty - False Nails

I had to do a post on these false nails from Primark as they are my absolute faves, and you cannot beat the price!! 

I've been buying their false nails for a couple of years now and my absolute faves are their square French manicure ones. 

They have recently expanded their range and now include a huge amount of pre-designed ones, so if your a fan of nail art I highly suggest you pick some up!

I picked up some plain nude square style ones, this is the shape I love, I'm not too keen on the whole pointed nail trend.

They come with 24 nails in various sizes and nail glue. I do use the glue that comes with these and it's actually really good and long wearing. 

I love the fact that these nails are small in size as in 'width' not length because I have really small dainty hands and nails and have always struggled with false nails being to wide on my fingers and having to file the majority of the nail down, which kind of makes the nail lose it's shape.

These fit my nails perfect and I can get up to 2 weeks wear out of these, I'm not overly hard on my hands but I do work in an office and have two kids and a dog so my hands r pretty much 'at work' all the time so I think the staying power of these are great!

I've listed all my pros about these nails below, and honestly I can't think of a con.

These get a HUGE thumbs up from me and I would 100% recommend them!!

MAC 3d glitters haul.

When i heard that MAC were coming out with a full set of new 3d glitters, i knew i had to have them.

I do love glitter after all!!

There are 7 glitters in the collection and naturally i purchased them all

You really do have to see these in person to see the full holographic beautiful-ness!

I am absolutely dying to use these, although i have read that there not supposed to be used on eyes which I'm slightly gutted about as that was my sole intended purpose, however I'm still going to try.

They can also be mixed with nail polish to create a gorgeous holographic effect to the nails, something which i will definitely be trying!!

MAC Osbournes Haul

So, i don't know about you guys but i was super excited about the release of the 'MACosbornes' collection.

I had no idea what date or time this was being released online, so i was ever so grateful when a lovely friend of mine messaged me via instagram to let me know it was live on the Debenhams website.

I was actually at work when she messaged me so it was a quick case of literally running to the toilet and hiding there until i had placed an order lol!!

I managed to grab all of Kelly's lipsticks which i knew i definitely wanted after seeing numerous swatches online.

(I seem to have misplaced 'strip poker' at the moment)

The packaging of Kelly's lipsticks are a gorgeous pearly pastel lilac colour with her signature wrote on in red, (these really remind me of the Dame Edna collection from a few years back)

I am so excited about the shades of these lipsticks and definitely feel like they were the stand out products from this whole collection.
