January 2014 GlossyBox UK - Back To Basics

I received my January glossybox a couple of days ago now and thought id do a quick post to let you know what i got this month.

Glossybox has had a tad bit of a makeover, there boxes are now actually glossy instead of a matte finish, they are slightly bigger and have glossybox wrote on the lid.

Not big changes at all, but I'm slightly gutted at the fact they've now printed glossybox on the lid because i used to re-use these boxes for gifts, and now i feel like i cant really do that anymore.

Still comes with the card telling you what everything in your box is and the 'glossy magazine' which if I'm honest i very rarely read.

Another re-vamp is on the ribbon, instead of the usual skinny pink one, its now been replaced with a shiny grey/black one with the glossybox logo printed on in their signature pink shade.

This is the contents of the box

2x 3ML Yu-Be Moisturising creams

(which clearly state on them, free sample not for re-sale!! total pet peeve of mine)

50ml Vaseline Intensive Moisture Lotion (worth a massive 60p value WOW!!!)

50ml Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash

Anatomicals Under Eye Patches

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Tweezers

Close up of the eye patches, probably the only thing i will enjoy using out of this box, lol.

Overall i feel this is a really poor box for this month, and theres no thought gone into it, the items are all cheap and not one thing is a 'luxury item' which is what glossybox claims to send you!

i think they have put too much money towards the new packaging and just shoved any crap inside, don't get me wrong, i love pretty packaging, but the reason i signed up for glossybox was the promise of 5 luxury sample products to try out each month NOT for the fancy packaging!!

Glossybox could have welcomed the new year in with a bang and made this box a one to remember, i feel they would have gained and probably won back a lot more people if they put more effort into this first box of the year!!
